This review relates to using this app with Apple Watch.
I looked at the data captured in HealthKit from last night, and noticed that Pillow logged 20+ data points for "asleep" — many started and ended within the same minute of time.
This is just wrong and poorly conceived.
If Im legitimately awake for many minutes in a row, then I can see the logic in logging a new "asleep" data point. Otherwise, I cant see the point. And, I can assure you I wasnt "awake" that many times last night.
Pillows large number of short, individual sleep data points in HealthKit has rendered some other apps I use that rely on that data almost useless! For instance, instead of seeing my heart rate for the evening of sleep in one scrollable log of data in my HeartWatch app, I now have several "sleeps" to look at, which is far from convenient for identifying anomalies or trends.
Id love to pay for Pillow. And, I will if they fix this major issue! But, for now, its introducing too much unuseful data for any type of valid sleep analysis.
For now, Im going back to logging my sleep using HeartWatch.
